Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Daily Gist ("the service"), operated by Daily Gist ("we", "us", "our"). By using the service, you agree to these terms.

What Daily Gist does

Daily Gist converts newsletters you forward to us into AI-generated podcast episodes, delivered via a private RSS feed.

Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and RSS feed URL private.
  • You may only create one account per person.

Acceptable use

  • Only forward newsletters and email content you have legitimately received.
  • Do not use the service to process content that is illegal, abusive, or violates others' rights.
  • Do not redistribute generated podcast episodes publicly or commercially.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, abuse, or overload the service.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues through the end of your billing period.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current rate until they cancel.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us if you have an issue.

Content and intellectual property

  • You retain ownership of the newsletters you forward to us.
  • Generated podcast episodes are for your personal use only.
  • We do not claim ownership of your content. We use it solely to provide the service.
  • We do not use your saved content — newsletters, articles, or any text you save in Daily Gist Reader — to train AI models. Saved content is shown only to you.

AI-generated content

Podcast episodes are generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies, misinterpretations, or omissions. Episodes are a summary — always refer to the original newsletters for authoritative information. We are not responsible for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

Service availability

We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of planned downtime.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
